We are South Tyneside Council's adventurous activity provider, and have been delivering activities to young and old people for over 40 years.
We offer a range of land and water based activities across our three centres:
- Simonside Climbing Wall
- Water Activities Centre, South Shields Seafront
- Akenshawburn Cottages, Kielder
We pride ourselves on high standards of instruction, well maintained clothing, equipment and facilities that are accessible for all.
We are part of South Tyneside Council's Outdoor Education Service, which also incorporates our sister centre on the shores of Coniston Water in the Lake District National park, Thurston Outdoor Education Centre.
