Introduction

Sea level traversing can be offered as a day or half-day when conditions allow.

Venue

Humphrey Head.

Any other venue to be approved by Head of Centre or deputy.

Staffing

• Ratio: The normal instructor / participant ratio.
• Staff should have knowledge of the venue, site specific training, be in-house trained, have an awareness of tides and be an ML holder.

Equipment

Helmets must be worn.

Operating considerations

• Tide tables checked and an awareness of the implications.
• Participant aware of the specific dangers including quick sand.
• Leader must have a mobile phone or a method of communication.
