A fun series of crafty family activities is coming to Arbeia Roman Fort this Spring and Summer, with free craft packs to collect from the museum.
Have a go at planting your own Roman herbs to take away by bringing your own yoghurt pot, which you can recycle into your very own plant pot.
You can also decorate a horse chamfron, the decorative mask a horse wore when going into battle. Make and design your own Roman dagger and pretend to be a Roman soldier in battle.
There will also be an opportunity to make your own Roman coin or portrait of Hadrian out of clay.
Free craft packs are available to pick up on all dates, 11am-3am.
