SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL (CONISTON AVENUE/ADAIR WAY AREA, HEBBURN) ORDER 2021

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to revoke No Waiting and no Loading Mon-Fri 8am-5pm on:

  • Coniston Avenue, Hebburn both sides from its junction with the northern kerb line of the access road leading to Windermere Crescent for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and from a point 175 metres north of its junction with the access road leading to Windermere Crescent for a distance of 58 metres in a northerly, easterly, southerly and south westerly direction(the hammerhead area)
  • Grasmere Road, Hebburn both sides from its junction with the northern kerb line of Windermere Crescent for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction
  • Penrith Road, Hebburn both sides from its junction with the southern kerb line of the access road leading to Windermere Crescent for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction
  • (Access road leading to) Windermere Crescent, Hebburn both sides from its junction with the eastern kerb line of Campbell Park Road for a distance of 28 metres in an easterly direction
  • Windermere Crescent, Hebburn both sides from its junction with the eastern kerb line of Coniston Avenue and the eastern kerb line of Penrith Road for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction and north side from a point 42 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Coniston Avenue for a distance of 30 metres in an easterly direction

The Order will introduce No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on:

  • Coniston Avenue, Hebburn west side from its junction with Windermere Crescent in a north westwards then north eastwards direction for a distance of 212 metres and east side from its junction with Windermere Crescent in a north westwards direction for a distance of 10 metres and from a point 177 metres northwest of its junction with Windermere Crescent in a north eastwards then northwards direction for a distance of 23 metres
  • Grasmere Road, Hebburn both sides from its junction with Windermere Crescent in a north westwards direction for a distance of 10 metres
  • Hautmont Road, Hebburn both sides from its junction with Penrith Road in an eastwards direction for a distance of 17 metres
  • Penrith Road, Hebburn west side from its junction with Windermere Crescent in a south eastwards then eastwards direction for a distance of 128 metres and east side from its junction with Windermere Crescent in a south eastwards direction to its junction with Hautmont Road
  • Windermere Crescent, Hebburn north side from its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in an eastwards direction to its junction with Coniston Avenue, from its junction with Coniston Avenue in an eastwards direction for a distance of 10 metres, from its junction with Grasmere Road in a westwards direction for a distance of 10 metres, from its junction with Grasmere Road in an eastwards direction for a distance of 10 metres and east side from its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in an eastwards direction to its junction with Penrith Road and from its junction with Penrith Road in an eastwards direction for a distance of 10 metres

The Order will introduce No Waiting At Any Time on:

  • Adair Way, Hebburn north side from its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in a south eastwards then north eastwards direction for a distance of 175 metres, from a point 329 metres northeast of its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in north eastwards direction for a distance of 48 metres, from a point 482 metres northeast of its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in a north eastwards then north westwards direction for a distance of 20 metres, from a point 508 metres northeast of its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in a south westwards then north westwards direction for a distance of 20 metres, from a point 529 metres northeast of its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in a north eastwards then north westwards direction for a distance of 20 metres and from a point 557 metres northeast of its junction with C401 Campbell Park Road in a south westwards then north westwards direction for a distance of 20 metres.

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall at the address below.

If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council's Legal Services Department at the address below or by using the same email address above by the 19 May 2021.
