Changes to the market for COVID-19

From Friday 23 July 2021, the following measures will still be in place:

  • The layout of stalls will stay the same - stalls are arranged in rows on the south side of the market square, in the space in front of The Word, and there's a clear route for pedestrians crossing the Market Place
  • Trader only areas are still in place
  • Hand sanitiser stations are available near the Old Town Hall

Please follow social distancing rules where appropriate, use hand sanitiser and wash your hands regularly.

We have carried out a risk assessment to make sure the market can operate safely in line with government guidelines and to help reduce the spread of coronavirus.
