Overview

The Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open) supports businesses that have suffered from reduced demand, due to enhanced local restrictions. 

It is available to businesses in hospitality, leisure and accommodation sectors.

Automatic eligibility for 'closed' grant

If you are eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Open) and have applied, you will also automatically get the 'closed' grant if your business has been required to close by government, see Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed).

Further grant payments after national lockdown

After the period of national lockdown, if South Tyneside is in a Local Covid Alert Level 'High' or 'Very High', further grant payments will be awarded until the scheme is closed.
