Overview of the proposal

The proposal includes:

  • introducing resident permit holder parking on North Road, East Boldon for properties 20b, 21a, 21-25 North Road, Laburnum Cottage, The Bungalow and 1-4 West Farm
  • introducing some no waiting at any time restrictions on North Road, East Boldon

South Tyneside Council (North Road, East Boldon) Order 2020

South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. This proposal replaces the previously advertised proposal dated 21 October 2020.

The effect of the Revised Order will be to introduce:

Residents Permit Holder Parking at all times on North Road, East Boldon south side

  • from a point 21 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 12 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 44 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 5.5 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 54.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 25 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 89.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 22 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 131.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 144.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 18 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 168.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction;

No Waiting At Any Time on North Road, East Boldon south side

  • from a point 33 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 11 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 49.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 5 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 79.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 10 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 111.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction including the entrance to West Farm;
  • from a point 137.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 7 metres in an easterly direction;
  • from a point 162.5 metres east of its junction with the eastern kerb line of Boker Lane for a distance of 6 metres in an easterly direction;

Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall at the address below.
