Test and Trace Support is a £500 lump sum payment for people on low incomes, who are unable to work because they have been asked to self-isolate.
You may be able to get it if you meet all of these conditions:
- have been told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace,
- are employed or self-employed,
- get certain benefits,
- cannot work from home and you will lose income because you cannot continue to work.
Dates you can claim from / to
You can apply if you have been asked to self-isolate on or after 28 September 2020.
You cannot apply if you were told to self-isolate before 28 September 2020, even if your self-isolation period continues after 28 September.
How long you have to apply
You can apply up to 42 days after your first day of isolation.
You must have fully completed your application and uploaded all supporting documents before the end of this period, or we will not be able to process your payment.
Applications from other members of your household
Other members of your household can make their own applications if they meet the eligibility criteria.
Applying for someone else
You can apply on behalf of someone else.
The payment must be paid into the bank account of the person who is claiming.
For example, if you apply on behalf of a parent, the payment must be made into the parent's bank account.
