Face coverings in Council buildings
From Saturday 8 August 2020, face coverings must be worn in Council buildings.
There are exemptions for age, health or disability reasons.
For the full government guidance and information about who is exempt, see government guidance on face coverings.
We ask that you wear a face covering when entering:
- Customer service centres
- Leisure centres (can be removed when exercising)
- Children's centres
- Cemeteries and crematorium buildings
- Business centres
Staff working in Council buildings
Staff working in Council buildings are exempt from wearing a face covering, as workplace health and safety assessments have been carried out and they are working in COVID-secure environments.
NHS test and trace
If you visit a Council building we may ask for your name and contact number for NHS test and trace.
