Details of proposal

Reason for restriction:

  • South Tyneside Council have received a number of complaints regarding vehicles parking near the junction of Seafield Terrace / Dale Street. This results in reduced visibility for motorists attempting to negotiate the junction
  • This is currently an unrestricted area of public highway, which means any vehicle can park there. It is considered that the introduction of new restrictions would alleviate problems and improve road safety

Proposed parking restrictions:

  • no waiting at any time

Types of restriction proposed:

  • double yellow lines
