All public toilets are now open.
There are new measures and restrictions in place to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus.

New measures and restrictions to reduce the risk of spreading coronavirus include:
- Toilets will close every two hours for deep cleaning and sanitisation
- New signs and social distance markers
- Attendants at each site
Monday to Thursday - 10am to 5pm
Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 10am to 6 or 7pm (depending on how busy they are)
Market Place and Queen Street toilets are closed on Sundays.
Public toilets are available at:
- Walkway at Sandhaven
- Queen Street (closed on Sundays)
- Jarrow Bus Station
- Grotto at Marsden
- Market Place (closed on Sundays)
- South Marine Park
- Amusements / fairground
Leisure centre toilets
Toilets in leisure centres are currently only available for people who are using the leisure centres.
