There are changes to Register Office services (marriages, funerals, certificates, registering a birth or death).
Contact tracing
When the NHS Test and Trace service is unable to reach people who have tested positive within their usual timeframes, local contact tracers will take over.

Customer service
The Customer Service Centres at South Shields Town Hall and Jarrow Town Hall are open Monday to Friday, 10am to 3pm. Jarrow Town Hall is closed every Thursday.
When visiting a Council building, please wear a face covering, unless exempt. We may also ask for your details for NHS Test and Trace. More about visiting a Council building.
