Climate Change Emergency to be discussed at Meeting

South Tyneside Council's plans for a carbon neutral future will be discussed at a community meeting next week.

Residents who live in the Riverside area of South Tyneside can hear what is happening in their community at the next Community Area Forum (CAF).

Members will hear about the council's pledge to become carbon neutral by 2030 and update Councillors on how they plan to establish change within the Borough.

Councillors will also receive information on 'county lines', an emerging type of criminal exploitation linked with drug dealing and the transportation of drugs, weapons and money that affects vulnerable people of all ages, predominantly children.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday 10 December at 10am in South Shields Town Hall. Members of both the public and press are welcome.
