Residents who live in the Riverside area of South Shields can find out what is happening in their local neighbourhood at the next meeting of their Community Area Forum.
During the meeting, members will receive an informative update on activities and future initiatives in the wards covered by the Riverside Community Area Forum, with contributions from Northumbria Police and Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.
Councillors will also receive a report on housing and area management activity carried out by South Tyneside Homes in the area and hear how funding from the CAF has benefited the local area and communities.
Chair of the Riverside Community Area Forum, Councillor Lynne Proudlock, said: "There will be lots to discuss at the next CAF meeting and I'm looking forward to hearing about past and future projects in the area.
"These meetings allow residents to find out what's going on in their local communities and learn more about the issues that really affect them so I'd encourage people who are interested to come along."
The meeting will be held on Tuesday 29 October at 10.00am in Council Chamber, Town Hall, South Shields. Members of the public and press are welcome.
