A new midwifery-led birthing centre opened at South Tyneside District Hospital this summer offering women more choice on where to give birth.

From September 2019, all 12 and 13 year-olds in school Year 8 will be offered on the NHS the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.

Every Mind Matters
Public Health England's major new Mental Health campaign, "Every Mind Matters" launches on 7 October 2019.
The campaign will support everyone to feel more confident in taking action to take care of their mental health and wellbeing.
