Residents living in the Riverside area of South Shields can find out what is happening in their local neighbourhood at the next meeting of their Community Area Forum.
At the meeting next Tuesday (28 May) councillors will receive an update on various community partner activities and initiatives within the Forum area.
Members will also receive a report on housing and area management activity carried out by South Tyneside Homes in the area.
Councillors will also hear how funding from the CAF has benefited the local area and communities.
The new Chair of the Committee, Councillor Lynne Proudlock, said: "I'm delighted to be at the helm of a committee where there is always so much to discuss.
"The Forums allow residents to keep in touch with what's going on in their local communities and learn more about the issues that really affect them so I'd encourage people to come along."
The CAF's new Vice Chair is Councillor Sheila Stephenson.
The meeting will be held at 10am on Tuesday 28 May at South Shields Town Hall. All are welcome.
