Get involved with the best start in life

There is a range of different ways you can help someone get the best start in life, and the contribution doesn't need to be a big one. The smallest offers can make the biggest differences to a child's life and we want to help your business or organisation to help our young people.

Become a Best Start Champion and commit to helping to give children and families in South Tyneside the best start in life.

What is a Best Start Champion?

Best Start Champions commit to helping to give children and families in South Tyneside the best start in life. How you do that is up to you, it might be:

  • Running or promoting events and activities for young people
  • Helping families make healthy choices
  • Making sure vulnerable children are supported
  • Offering training or apprenticeships to young people
  • You might simply be a 'family friendly' place
