South Tyneside Safeguarding Week

Safeguarding Week takes place from Monday 15 - Friday 19 October 2018.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility

Safeguarding means working together to stop abuse and prevent it happening, while making sure that everyone has a right to live a life that is free from abuse and neglect.

There are many vulnerable people in our communities of all ages and backgrounds. Keeping them safe is a priority which is why it is important that everyone recognises the signs of abuse and neglect, are confident to report it and seek the necessary help and support.

South Tyneside Safeguarding Week 2018, "Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility", takes place from Monday 15 - Friday 19 October 2018 and aims to emphasis that everyone has a role to play in spotting the signs of abuse, while encouraging everyone to be aware of the many forms abuse can take.

There are a wide range of events taking place throughout the week, including workshops and pop up shops.

Please note: The workshops are available to professionals only. You can attend as many sessions as you like however booking is essential.

Pop up shops are open to professionals and members of the community. You can attend as many sessions as you like and there is no need to book.
