As the event organiser you must consider the risks employees, volunteers and the general public are exposed to as a consequence of your event.
An event plan must be drafted detailing the management arrangements which are in place to safely run the event and a copy of this document must be submitted to the Safety Advisory Group no less than 28 days prior to the event.
The level of detail and complexity of the plan will depend upon the scale of the event which you are planning. As a rule of thumb, smaller scale events with low numbers of spectators/participants will require less rigorous documentation than a large event attracting thousands of people.
The plan should also detail how you would manage any emergency situations that may happen.
