South Tyneside Lifecycle Primary Care Mental Health Service

The Lifecycle Service is a single point of contact for anyone living in South Tyneside who is experiencing mental health issues.

What Lifecycle can help with

Lifecycle offers treatments for mental health issues to people of all ages including:

  • Low mood and depression
  • Worry and anxiety
  • Controlling anger
  • Bereavement / loss
  • Bullying
  • Eating difficulties
  • Self-harming behaviours
  • Relationship and family difficulties

Treatments include:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) for Depression
  • Systemic Family Practice (SFP)
  • Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)
  • Counselling
  • Talking therapy
  • Creative / play therapy

Contact Lifecycle

You can contact Lifecycle directly, and they will make sure that you get support from the best place.

If you are 16 or over, you can contact Lifecycle yourself. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or carer to contact them for you.

They offer appointments Monday to Saturday, with evening appointments available Monday to Thursday. 

Professionals such as GPs, social workers and teachers can contact Lifecycle your behalf. However, if you think you need help, you (or your parents or carers) are encouraged to contact Lifecycle yourself.

The main base is at Cleadon Park Primary Care Centre with appointments offered at Flagg Court Health Centre, Monkton Hall as well as other venues across the Borough.
