Moving Forward offers support to people experiencing mental health issues who want to improve their confidence, get back on their feet and move on with their lives.

Since March all our support has been by phone, Zoom, Skype or WhatsApp.

Link Workers can offer:

  • Support to overcome loneliness and isolation, particularly during Covid-19 restrictions
  • Help to connect with others via digital platforms
  • Practical support to deal with issues such as housing or benefits
  • Encourage the development of strategies to better manage mental health
  • Signposting to appropriate services/organisations

We have lots of experience in linking together people with a similar interest to form their own groups.  These initially have some support from staff but are encouraged to manage themselves and become independent.  At this present time, some groups have got back together safely (restrictions permitting).
