Lots to talk about at local forum

An opportunity for residents living in the West Shields, Cleadon and East Boldon areas of South Tyneside to find out what is going on in their local area is on offer next week.

On Thursday 9 March members will receive updates on the latest work and initiatives of the Councils partners including Northumbria Police, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service and Nexus.

The forum will also receive an update on the current housing and management activity across the forum area carried out by South Tyneside Homes - the housing company, which manages and maintain around 18,000 homes in borough on behalf of South Tyneside Council.

Chairman of the West Shields, Cleadon and East Boldon Community Area Forum, Councillor Olive Punchion, said: "Residents are welcome to come along to any of our meetings, which offers them an ideal opportunity to find out more about the things that affect their local community.

"Our meetings are interesting and informative as we always discuss a wide range of issues and Thursday's Forum will be no exception."

Members of the press and public are invited to attend the meeting which takes place on Thursday 9 March, at 10am, at Cleadon Methodist Church Hall.
