Heritage Open Days

Heritage Open Days return to South Tyneside from Friday 13 - Sunday 22 September 2019.

Heritage Open Days is a FREE national event which celebrates fantastic architecture and culture by offering access to properties that are usually closed to the public or normally charge admission.

South Tyneside will be providing visitors with a unique chance to discover and enjoy, sometimes hidden and often curious, interesting architectural treasures. Places taking part this year include Arbeia Roman Fort, Souter Lighthouse, The Word and many more so be sure not to miss out on these exciting events!
