Three families in South Tyneside will be able to see more of the area's outstanding coastline and find out more about its history after winning tickets for the Citysightseeing South Tyneside service.
The lucky winners will be able to enjoy a great day out as the prize also includes free admission to Bede's World in Jarrow and Souter Lighthouse. The open top service is a fun way to see the many cultural and heritage attractions of the Borough. Operating hourly during the summer holidays, there are 12 stops from Bede's World to Souter Lighthouse taking in all the tourist attractions. Tickets are valid for 24 hours so there is time to enjoy one of the Cookson Festival events or to take in a visit to an attraction or two.
The brightly coloured hop-on hop-off bus operates during the Summer holidays, linking the seafront, South Shields Town Centre and visitor attractions including Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, Arbeia Roman Fort, The Customs House, Shields Market, Barbour factory outlet and Bede's World.
