If you consider yourself a bit of a green-fingered god, then it's time to show off your talents by entering the South Tyneside Flower and Vegetable Show.
Held in the Temple Park Centre on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September, this popular annual free show features fabulous produce from around the borough.
There are 101 classes ranging from chrysanthemums and carnations, to leeks, onions and carrots. The event will also feature Floral Art classes, the ever-popular children's classes, as well as entertainment for the whole family with magic, Punch and Judy, and Brass Bands.
Admission is FREE to the public and the show is open from 11.30am to 5.00pm on Saturday and 11.30am to 4.00pm on Sunday. All unclaimed exhibits will be auctioned off at approximately 4.30pm on Sunday 7th September, in aid of the Mayoress's charity.
Schedules for entrants are now available from South Tyneside libraries and Tourist Information Centres. For further information contact the Lifelong Learning and Leisure Department Events Section on 424 7985.
