Riverside Ramble

The tropical weather has been a welcome change for most people in South Tyneside, but what effect has it had on the wildlife of the Borough?

Now you can find out by joining a guided walk around the Hebburn Riverside Nature Trail at Hebburn Riverside Park and beyond to Bill Quay and Town Farm.

The three-mile ramble takes place on Sunday 7th September and will allow people to witness the range of wildlife in the park, the animals at the farm and the spectacular views up and down the river.

Anyone interested in joining the walk is asked to meet at Hebburn Marine car park(off Prince Consort Road) at 12.45pm. The walk will finish at 4pm and people are advised to wear comfortable shoes and warm clothing.

For further information contact Kevin Vigars, South Tyneside Council's Rights of Way Officer on 424 7498.
