South Tyneside Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership supports a major government initiative aimed at giving people of all ages a chance to find out about working with children.
"More Making Choices" is a programme designed for people of all ages who are interested in working with children, but would like more information. By the end of the programme candidates will be able to make an informed choice about which area of childcare they wish to work in.
The "More Making Choices" programme is being managed and delivered through the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership (EYDCP). In South Tyneside the lead trainer will be Angela Brown of "Internannies", a locally based Childcare Consultancy. The programme is also supported by South Tyneside College, The Employment Service and local childcare practitioners.
"More Making Choices" is a free, 15-hour programme and in South Tyneside the course is being offered as a four-week course with a two-hour introductory session or as an evening course running for five sessions. Anyone can take part in the programme. For more information or to register for one of the courses contact: Pat Yates, Childcare Support Team Tel. 428 7661.
