Early risers have a treat in store on May Bank Holiday weekend if they book for an early summer's dawn stroll in the Vale of Don with local bird and countryside experts.
By getting up incredibly early, nature lovers will be rewarded by the fascinating and diverse sounds of many different types of birds including whitethroats, willow warblers, chiff-chaffs, blackbirds, robins and wrens.
Local bird expert Peter Collins, from the National Trust, will be on hand to tell all about them and walkers may be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to tell the birds apart by their songs - and even if you can't they are still a delight to see and hear.
Booking is essential for this event from 5.30am to 7.00am on Sunday 5th May (full details of where to meet will be confirmed on booking). Organisers say to wrap up warm and bring binoculars if you have them.
