Residents of South Tyneside are invited to a short ramble in the West Boldon to discover what tasty morsels can be harvested from the local environment.
The walk, which starts in the West Boldon area will take place on Wednesday 15th May at 6.30pm.
After the event there will be a chance to sample foods made from natural ingredients including nettle soup, comfrey fritters and gorse flower tea.
The walk provides a rare opportunity for individuals to discover and experience the taste of wild food outside the autumn season. Although the walk is free, places must be booked in advance. Anybody wanting more information can contact Clare Rawcliffe at Groundwork South Tyneside on 536 4873.
