Mayor's Charity

Create your own Christmas e-card

Help local charities and the environment by making a donation to the Mayor's Charity instead of sending cards this Christmas.

Once you've donated you will be able to send your friends, family and colleagues an e-card to let them know you have donated and send your best wishes.

This year the Mayor of South Tyneside, Councillor Ken Stephenson, is supporting St Clare's Hospice and Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust.

Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside, Cllr Ken Stephenson and Mrs Cathy Stephenson

The Mayor of South Tyneside is Councillor Ken Stephenson, who will carry out his civic role with his mum by his side, the Mayoress, Mrs Cathy Stephenson.

Born in South Shields, the former Springfield Comprehensive School student went on to work as a production operator in a warehouse environment before dedicating his time to public service. Councillor Stephenson has represented the Primrose ward of Jarrow since February 2010 and is a governor at Jarrow Cross CofE Primary School, Epinay School and the Pupil Referral Unit at the Beacon Centre.

The Mayoress was also born in South Shields and, apart from a very brief stint living in Washington many years ago, she has also remained in the town.

The Mayor is supporting St Clare's Hospice and Chloe & Liam Together Forever Trust during his year in office.
