There are three Primary Care Centres in South Tyneside. Primary Care Centres bring together a number of health services under one roof.
This makes it easier and more convenient for patients to access care closer to their home.
Different services are provided in each centre, depending on the needs of local people.
Some Primary Care Centres include a minor injury and illness facility, where you can get treatment for minor ailments. Others provide access to a GP without appointment. Some also offer a range of treatments and therapies for local people with long-term conditions like heart problems or diabetes. For further information, contact your local centre direct.
