Do you want to help improve your local area?
Now you can by showing us the issues that matter to you. We have organised a programme of Area Walkabouts, which will be run by Delivery Officers from South Tyneside Homes.
The walkabouts will be held in local areas and all residents in South Tyneside are welcome.
You can raise concerns about issues that matter to you like fly-tipping, dog-fouling and anti-social behaviour as well as letting us know how you think your local area could be improved. You can give your views on the spot, face-to-face and be guaranteed direct feedback.
The route will be planned but will remain flexible enough so you can ask for specific spots to be visited on the day.
We will update you on actions from the walkabout within four weeks by email or post. This will allow us time to follow up any suggestions and queries. If it is an urgent query we will contact you directly by phone as soon as we have an answer, and if the issue is regarding anti-social behaviour or linked with crime we will contact the correct organisation immediately.
If you do have an urgent query don't wait for a walkabout, it should be reported as soon as possible.
Dates and routes will be publicised on these pages, in your local community and local area offices.
If you are interested in getting involved in the walkabouts, or would like to find out more about getting involved in improving your neighbourhood, call us on 0300 123 6633 and ask for your local Delivery Officers.
