Library computer and internet access

COVID-19: Council libraries

All four Council libraries are now open for collecting pre-ordered books, using a computer, browsing books and study spaces.

You must book an appointment before visiting.

Visiting a Council library

FREE computer and internet access is available across all our libraries.

All you need to bring with you is your library membership card

You can use the computers for up to 120 minutes per day and USB memory sticks are compatible with all of our computers.

Staff are on hand in our libraries to give introductory classes on setting up an email account, general online safety, safe shopping and more. For more information or to request a class call Colin Copeland on 0191 4247867.

Please note that anyone under the age of 16 must have signed parental consent before using the computers. Please ask a member of staff for more details.

If you are not a member of the library, it is £2.50 to use a computer for 1 hour, or £1 for 20 minutes. To join the library, go to Join the library.
