Renew / reserve books

How to renew / reserve books online

To increase your online security and to enable us to add new features to your library catalogue, you now require both your library card number and a unique PIN to renew and reserve items.

This is the same as the PIN you use to access our eBook system and our library computers.

In most cases it is based on the day and year of your birth - for example if your date of birth is the 25 December 1972,  your PIN will be 2572.

If you experience any difficulty please email library.support@southtyneside.gov.uk, telephone 0191 427 1818 or contact your local library. Please have your library card with you or in the case of email and telephone enquiries, please state the number clearly.
