Visiting a leisure centre
To visit, you must book a session over the phone.
Our phone lines have been very busy, we are sorry if you're having trouble getting through. We are doing our best to answer all calls. There are plenty of spaces available to book.
Jarrow Community Pool has a 25 metre, four lane pool with suitable water depths for competitive swimmers' dive starts. The pool also has a moveable floor, meaning the depth of the water can be adjusted to cater for varying age groups and abilities.
Schools have use of the pool during school hours in term-time. Outside of these hours the pool is available for public use, swimming lessons and regular bookings from swimming clubs, as well as community groups such as Scouts and Guides.
Jarrow Community Pool are proud to be part of the Leisurewatch scheme. This provides training and support to our staff to help them recognise concerning behaviour and act to stop it, making our public spaces safer for all of us.
