About the scheme
Npower's Health Through Warmth scheme was set up in 2000 in partnership with the NHS and National Energy Action, a charity aiming to improve the insulating and heating problems of low-income households.
The Health Through Warmth scheme originally operated in 15 areas within England and Wales to help people whose health is affected by living in cold, damp homes. South Tyneside is one of only 5 remaining Health Through Warmth areas in operation.
