NEPO (North East Purchasing Organisation) is a local authority purchasing consortium made up of 12 local authorities who procure contracts on a regional and sub-regional basis.
They have developed an electronic portal which provides access to information about the procurement activities of all members authorities.
All North East local authority contracts are advertised on this portal.
You can register your interest as a supplier. However, this does not automatically mean that you will be invited to tender and further evaluation may be required, depending on the nature of the contract.
South Tyneside Council will check the portal for companies which have registered their interest when undertaking a procurement exercise.
All current opportunities to do business with South Tyneside Council are available on the NEPO portal.
Visit NEPO: Opportunities and select South Tyneside Council from the organisation list, then click search.
All current contracts in place with South Tyneside Council are also available on the NEPO portal.
Visit Pro Contract: Contracts register and select South Tyneside Council from the list of Councils - the list will automatically appear and is available to export.
TED (Tenders Electronics Daily) is the online version of the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU), dedicated to European public procurement and provides free access to public sector procurement opportunities.
South Tyneside Council publishes all OJEU tender opportunities on TED in addition to NEPO.
You can browse, search and sort procurement notices by country, region, business sector and more.
