Green bins (garden waste)
Overview
Winter weather is adding to waste collection issues in the borough. If your bin is not collected on Friday 1 December, please put it out from Tuesday (5 December) until it is collected. Residents are also reminded that refuse workers are currently taking action short of strike which is having an impact on collections across the borough. You are advised to put your bins out as normal. If bins are not collected on the scheduled day, please put your bins out on the next day until it is collected. For more information see, Waste disposal industrial action. The Recycling Village is open every day, 9am to 6pm. You can book a slot at www.southtyneside.gov.uk/recyclingvillage.Important information about your bin collection
