Types of waste you can bring

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there are restrictions on types of waste you can bring.

You can bring:

  • bagged general household waste
  • garden waste
  • cardboard
  • wood and bulky waste such as old furniture
  • small domestic appliances (eg vacuum cleaners, toasters, kettles, microwaves, lawnmowers etc.)
  • TVs
  • small fridges (those that do not need help from site operatives)

No soil, rubble or plasterboard.

If anyone you live with has had COVID-19 symptoms:

  • leave waste for 72 hours before bringing to site
  • double bag all waste
  • anyone who is isolating, or who has COVID-19 symptoms must not visit under any circumstances

When visiting the Recycling Village:

  • separate your waste before you come - this will speed up your visit
  • plastic bags cannot go into the skips - you can leave any plastic bags in a bin at the end of each aisle which is there specifically for them
  • please put the right material into the right container
