Primary Care TrustWho we are? South Tyneside Primary Care Trust is the lead NHS organisation for planning and securing services to address the health needs of the residents of South Tyneside. We were established in April 2002 and cover the same boundaries as the local authority. We employ around 400 staff, most working directly with patients and covering a wide variety of skills, trades and educational achievement. We provide a wide range of high quality health services, including those traditionally offered by GP practices and health centres. Our functions are to:
